The Crossroads Resource Center’s vision for local food economies is to build health, wealth, connection, and capacity. The current food system takes wealth out of our communities, and “local” foods may be the best path towards economic recovery in the U.S. The presentation discusses how grocers help build food webs by defining your local vision for food, connecting with farmers, building supportive networks and business clusters, and building authenticity.
