Abstract
“Replicants are like any other machine—they are either a benefit or a hazard.” In this statement from Ridley Scott’s 1982 film Blade Runner, Deckard, the assassin of androids (or android assassin), defines the relationship with the artifacts human beings make in unequivocal positive and negative terms.
