Abstract
As a department chair, your grant writing responsibilities are a bit different from those of a faculty member. In addition to funding your own disciplinary research, you may want to secure external funds to support departmental initiatives. You also have a responsibility to support the grant writing of junior faculty members. This workshop will focus on three main topics: basic grant writing (for those who have not done a lot, or as a refresher — and this is also information you can use when working with new grant writers), sources of funding for programmatic grants and how to support others’ grant writing efforts.
Keywords
