The Navajo Nation Math Circles Project
Submission Abstract
The Navajo Nation Math Circle Project has been designed to bring mathematical outreach to the Navajo community. This program has been running for four years with an additional year of planning.
It serves 1,500 students and 250 teachers per year in a very isolated part of the US afflicted with poverty and many challenges. This project is the subject of the documentary, ``Navajo Math Circles" that is playing on PBS stations nationwide.
