Office of Undergraduate Research & Creative Inquiry

The Office of Undergraduate Research & Creative Inquiry serves an interdisciplinary community. Our mission is to serve as a conduit for undergraduate research at Kansas State University and to promote collaborations and awareness across campus and beyond in order to advance the university's visionary 2025 plan and to attain the status of a Top 50 public research institution.

Developing Scholars Program

Developing Scholars Program is a program within the larger Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Inquiry. DSP offers high-achieving, serious-minded, historically underrepresented students research projects in their field of study with faculty mentors. Scholars will receive academic, social, and financial support while becoming integrated into the intellectual climate of the university.

Primary Texts Certificate

The Primary Texts Certificate program emphasizes original works instead of textbooks. The program supports student’s goal to obtain the intellectual flexibility to be a lifelong learner, an attribute highly valued in the workforce in today's rapidly changing economy. Primary Texts students go on to graduate school, law school, divinity school and other programs where analytical and communications skills are highly valued.
