Mentorship Collaborations in Health Behavior Research

Introduction

Special issue of Health Behavior Research Co-Edited by Matthew Lee Smith, PhD, MPH, CHES, FAAHB and Adam E. Barry, PhD, FAAHB

Mentorship is a reciprocal endeavor where knowledge and skills are transferred to improve the work performance and trajectory of one or both parties. Based on the commitment of AAHB to cultivate research careers through professional development opportunities, and the organization’s commitment to fostering mentored research partnerships, this Special Issue highlights professional products stemming from, and perspectives about, research mentee-mentor relationships. In total, this Special Issue features 24 manuscripts resulting from mentorship experiences.
