Abstract
Situated within transformational learning theory, this qualitative study suggests that Outsider Artists’ learning involves indicators of childhood innate artistic ability, an adult catalyst event, an holistic learning process described using an extra-rational vocabulary, and a change in meaning perspective, including the artistic identity.
